Pokemon Go has received a new Eevee-lution and players have already figured out a trick to capture it easily.

Sylveon was added to the game on May 25, which means that all Eevee-lutions are now available in Pokemon Go. The Pokemon Go account tweeted earlier this month that the official way to pick up Sylveon is to earn hearts with an Eevee when it’s your buddy. But, as reported by The Gamer, the Pokemon Go community has figured out a way to force the evolution with a simple naming trick.

User yeah_definitely posted a picture of their Sylveon to The Silph Road subreddit as the Pokemon went live yesterday in New Zealand. As you can see, they’ve renamed it ‘Kira’.

Historically, Pokemon Go has allowed players to rename their Eevee’s to characters from the animated series to ensure that the Eevee-lution becomes the pocket monster they want, and Sylveon is no different.

So, if you want a Sylveon but you don’t want to grind out the hearts, simply rename your Eevee to ‘Kira’ and then when you go to the evolution screen, you should see a silhouette of Sylveon. Complete the process and you can add Sylveon to your Pokedex. Keep in mind that you can only do this once, though.
